Users may now make group calls from Mac for the first time with the new WhatsApp Mac software, connecting with a total of 8 people on video calls and up to 32 people on audio conversations.
Even when the app is closed, they can select to get incoming phone notifications, join a group call after it has begun, and view call history.
Thanks to the redesign, users can complete more tasks faster when using WhatsApp on a wide screen. They may now quickly drag and drop files into a chat to share them, and they have better access to the chat history.
When using WhatsApp on any device, end-to-end encryption ensures the confidentiality of all calls and messages, including the Mac. The redesigned app is now accessible at WhatsApp.com and will soon be accessible via the App Store.
According to TechCrunch, the business published the software in public beta earlier this year, enabling people with systems running Apple Silicon and macOS 11 Big Sur or later to test it out.
