To Uninstall any application in Nokia S60v2 and S60v3, we generally go to Manager, it scans for the application, and then you can select and remove the application.
However, in some cases, you won’t be able to uninstall some applications in Nokia due to various reasons. This guide will show you how to uninstall the application that you cannot uninstall via Manager in Nokia S60v2 and S60v3.
Most of the time, you are unable to uninstall an application (mostly Java games) using the Manager function on the phone.
Note: This Guide is for Nokia Symbian OS Supporting S60V2 and S60V3
Follow the below step to Uninstall the Application in Nokia S60v2 and S60v3:
1. Install FExplorer.
2. Launch FExplorer and go to the path/folder of the application. I’m assuming you have installed the application on the Memory Card so that the path would be something like E:\system\apps.
There are many folders inside the apps folder. Now go into every folder and open the text file inside the folder to know about the application (Check the application folder label or icon or any Text file to know about the application).
3. If you found the correct folder you were looking for, Then move out of the folder, click on Options –> File –> Delete.
4. Then go to the Manager to uninstall it if it’s still listed.
5. Reboot & Done.
Let us know whether the above trick helped you uninstall the application in Nokia S60v2 and S60v3.
