Phone and Tablet will be your remote control for watching YouTube videos on TV

Though YouTube made its way to consumer Television (TV) set by adding its YouTube app making its user to easily watch YouTube videos on TV. However, watching YouTube videos on TV didn’t go well due to one of the main reason. The user never had a good experience of browsing or watching videos on TV which they had on Laptop or mobile devices. It definitely a pain to browse from billions of videos on YouTube just using a typical remote control. Even YouTube felt the need to refine its video player apps for TV and finally came up with a solution. YouTube now support mobile device pairing with TV. This allow user to easily send videos from mobile device to your TV just by one button.

However, the idea of sending YouTube videos from phone to your TV with a click of a button was actually started working since 2010 and finally brought for the showdown in Nov 2012, on Google TV devices, PlayStation and Xbox game console. But pairing is now coming to a lot of more devices soon. YouTube would be showing this features at CES for devices from Bang & Olufsen, LG, Panasonic and Sony. By this year, YouTube is targeting to rollout this features on other devices like those from Philips, Samsung, Sharp, Toshiba, Vizio, Western Digital and others.

How this send YouTube Videos on TV works?

Now you might be thinking about how this works? Surprisingly, this is as simple as a click of a button. In order to send videos from mobile to TV, you will require an updated YouTube app on your mobile devices and supported TV device and connect them using the same Wi-Fi Network. Now when you watch video on your mobile device and you can simply click on the TV icon button on the mobile device. You will see the video will start playing on TV. Apart from sending video to TV, you will also have complete control while watching videos using some of the important functions like play, pause, rewind, forward, etc.

In addition to mobile pairing feature, YouTube will also show its new TV user interface at CES this year. The UI provides an easy way to navigate through different categories of channels and subscribed feeds using the typical TV remote control. You can check the new TV user interface at www.youtube.com/tv. Though there would be a new UI interface coming out for TV, but we believe that mobile paring feature is going to be one of the best and easy ways to watch YouTube videos on TV.
